1. Account Registration & Organisation Access

To utilize Shiptape, you must register an account with accurate business information. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your organisation profile, including actions taken by packing station operators using your terminal sessions.

2. Service Scope & Purpose

Shiptape provides an interactive browser-based software application that interfaces with locally connected cameras and barcode scanners to record fulfillment videos, bind them to order tracking IDs, and store them securely in the cloud.

Shiptape serves as an evidence recording and management tool. Shiptape is not a courier service, cargo insurance provider, or arbitrator of carrier disputes. We do not guarantee that third-party logistics partners, marketplaces, or payment providers will accept or settle claims in your favor based on recorded footage.

3. Terminal Use & Camera Hardware

The packaging terminal requires compatible camera hardware, video codecs (VP8/VP9/WebM), barcode scanning input, and modern browser capabilities. The Merchant is responsible for ensuring stable local power, high-speed internet connectivity, and adequate lighting for clear video capture.

Merchants are strictly prohibited from using Shiptape recording terminals in non-operational areas, restrooms, private employee spaces, or for any unlawful surveillance purposes.

4. Prepaid Wallet, Fees & Consumption Billing

Shiptape operates on a prepaid usage model. Recording sessions, cloud storage retention, and related platform features deduct balance from your organisation's Shiptape wallet based on published consumption rates.

• Wallet top-ups: Minimum recharge amounts apply as displayed in your dashboard. Payments are processed securely in Indian Rupees (INR) via Razorpay.
• Auto-topup mandates: If configured, your linked payment method will automatically charge the chosen threshold amount when your wallet drops below the designated trigger balance.
• Zero-balance behavior & video expiry: In the event of an exhausted wallet balance, video recording operations may be suspended until sufficient balance is restored. Recorded packaging videos are securely backed up for a standard retention and expiry lifecycle of 60 days from the recording date. Following the 60-day expiry period, older videos are automatically scheduled for permanent deletion to maintain storage hygiene unless an active extension is granted.

5. Intellectual Property & Video Ownership

Grovix retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Shiptape platform, proprietary algorithms, barcode parsing logic, UI components, and software code.

The Merchant retains sole and exclusive ownership of all video recordings, shipment metadata, barcodes, and order details captured at their packing stations.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Grovix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, lost shipments, courier claim rejections, or business interruption arising from service unavailability, hardware disconnection, or corrupted video files.

In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the total amounts paid by you to Shiptape during the three (3) months preceding the incident giving rise to the claim.

7. Termination & Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access immediately if you violate these terms, attempt unauthorized vulnerability probing, tamper with billing systems, or fail to resolve fraudulent transaction disputes.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bangalore or Kerala, India.
